The handmade artisan quality is real in Vintage Patina by Bernhardt. Random sized planks of plantation grown mahogany are hand-planed in a rippled craftsman fashion, then polished by warm hands that melt the French finishing wax into a silky surface. That’s authentic. Vintage Patina designs are casual and sophisticated, with a nod to historic American classics from the time when all furnishings were individual and made by hand.
Many pieces in this collection are offered in two finishes: a deep rich Molasses or an earthy mid-tone Tobacco finish. Design elements include balanced and symmetric stepped moldings, spare turned posts, blackened cast iron with brass tipping, antique mirror, leather inserts and burnished brass knobs and pulls.
